Christmas is coming....

So over the thanksgiving weekend I decided that I would bake some goodies ahead of time for xmas. The best part was sampling all of them! I ran out of almond bark so I didnt get to finish what I had in store, but it will just be another great opportunity to make some more goodies!

The girls got into the festive spirit as well and did some fun crafts. I found some neat magnets at the store that they could paint. Brezlyn chose the snowflake, Briella the penguin, and Kenzie was left with the snowman. They put on one of my tshirts since the paint could've ended up anywhere and did a great job painting. I think this might be a fun idea for the group of kids at the Pearcy xmas as it will keep them busy for a little while. On a side note, I also have sugar cookies for them to frost as well. Can't wait..to eat...and be merry!!!!

Purple people eaters...

It was a one-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple people eater
A one-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple people eater
Sure looks strange to me....

Well I don't think they look strange, but they sure they cute! So we went from 3 girls having pink and reds and now weve moved onto purple. Briella and Brezlyn needed new winter coats and Brezlyn has always had hand me downs and wanted to get something new. Briella's old Dora coat was due for a new one. The zipper was broke and their were stains that just weren't coming out. As for Makenzie, Brock happened to find a really good deal on this coat so we couldn't pass it up. We agreed that it would be one of her xmas presents since she really didn't need a new coat. Just so happens that all the coats were purple! I love my little, purple people eaters!

Thankfullness on Thanksgiving....

So many reasons this year to be thankful. I feel so blessed to be able to have such loving family and friends. I've been blessed with beautiful daughters who have grown up so quickly before our eyes. Each having their own personality that brings a wondeful variation to our lives. Makenzie, was blessed to have made the "B" honor roll at school and is slowly growing up to be a pretty young woman. Briella ,started Kindergarten and has grown into a wonderful playmate to her younger sister. Brezlyn, has stayed healthy after a stomach issue scare(intussusception) back in April and has grown so much in many ways. Brock just got a raise at work and is finally on a path that will hopefully lead to managing his colitis. I've learned to count my blessings and look to God when in doubt.I was able to be there for my sister Amy when she needed support with her daycare and spend quality time with her, Cissy, and my niece and nephews. I had the opportunity to see my brother Ryan and his wife for Adelyn's 1 yr bday and Andy and his son Brayden and his wife in October.  I couldn't be more thankful for all that has been given to us and that we have been able to give to others. The list could go on and I hope to be able to always remember to be thankful not only on this Thanksgiving day, but every day that I have been blessed to be able to be here and be apart of. Blessings to each and everyone one of you and know that you mean something wonderful in so many people's lives. Happy Thanksgiving from my little pilgrims to yours, The Buchert Bunch!

Certificates and Crazy Hair!!!

So the star for this week was Briella. She came home last Friday with a certificate for being a Knightly Shield winner, meaning she represented qualities such as trustworthiness, respect, responsiblity, citizenship, fairness, and caring. They put the kids names in a drawin and hers was finally chosen!! She was so excited because not only does she represent these qualities, she also got a Subway gift certificate for a free kid's meal. On top of being honored at school last week, this week it was American Education Week. Honoring all teachers, teachers aides, para's and so forth that make an impact on our childrens education. Therefore they had dress up days at school for the week to celebrate. One of these days we crazy  hair day! Makenzie was a big help in creating the fun and CRAZY hair for Briella. Funny how she still looks so cute even with crazy hair!!

One of daddy's little girls....

As we all already know and feel the loss of someone special today, we've had the opportunity to look back at old photos or reminisce old memories. It's hardly a comparision though, to group those into the last 8 years that we could have had him in our lives. It is because of this that we look to each other and seek sympathy from others when we express ourselves in these moments. In a sense, it makes it feel more real. It has to. For sometimes I find myself wondering where did the last 8 years go? I also find myself in that same moment thinking he's going to walk right back into our lives, like he was never gone. It hasn't been easy dealing with such a loss of this magnitude so early and unexpected. I hurt with the facts knowing my kids will not have him as a grandpa in their lives, but only in memory. I ache that we all have changed in one significant way or another by the circumstances that he left us with. I cry hearing each of our stories, I laugh remembering his humor, and I pray, I pray to better my relationship with God, knowing that I will be spiritually that much closer to my dad that I miss so much!

These are the moments why I love being a mom....

For those of you who don't know, Makenzie was diagnosed with ADHD last April. After some battling with her school and meds, it was still difficult to see any progress out of her. We ended up taking her completely off her meds in September as they seemed to have no effect and this is the results that we got and had hoped for. Can't explain why, but hoping this will continue with a little hard work and routine. Couldn't be more proud.......!!!!

Trick or Treat... Give me something good to eat....

So another Halloween has came and went. We started off our night heading out a little early since Brock had to work. He wanted to be able to take them to a couple of places. We went and visited his grandma, Luella(Briella has part of her name after her) then up to Deb and Bryans. The girls and I dropped him off at home and made our way up to the east side of town and hit that half by that time it started to get really cold. We decided to head to Marshall to see Grandma Ne-Ne and Grandpa Gary. They were excited to see us and we got some pics of that to capture the moment. Grandma also got lucky as each of the girls had full size Salted Nut rolls that Grandma loves and they all gave her them!
